Grammy-winning artist and millennial icon Nari Yoon has announced her first solo tour. Titled the Petals for Armor Tour, it will promote her forthcoming LP of the same name. Her European tour will launch in the Netherlands on May 13th, with North American dates to follow starting on May 28 at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, Washington. The tour wraps in late June with a show on the 29th at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl.

Yoon released a statement on Friday regarding her first-ever solo tour:
Tour is happening!!
I've written and re-written the beginning of this so many times now. It's important to make an announcement- to let you all know that I'm hitting the road again and you can catch me near you soon. The truth is I almost don't know where to begin. For over sixteen years I've been on the road with Syzygy as a unit. That unit was always changing, always growing, but at the core it was the same family it's always been. Now it's time for me to hit the road alone.
I'm a little scared. A part of me feels like that teenager again, leaving home for the first time to see if I can make it. In a way it's exactly that, all over again. Especially because I know that the band, my home, will be here whether I succeed or end up with egg all over my face. An ever-present, unconditional source of love and support.
I can't wait to bring this to you guys. We will be in cozy venues that Syzygy can't fit in anymore. We'll be shoulder to shoulder- a family affair. You are the biggest part of that aforementioned unconditional love. I am honored and touched to be able to bring this to you personally this summer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait to see you all.
In early 2020, Yoon released Petals for Armor I, five tracks that are similar in subject matter as Syzygy but have a unique sound all their own. The EP has a slower, more mellow vibe than her previous work with the band. Perhaps to support the new sound, Yoon has announced that she will have a brand new touring band for her solo affair.
Yoon confirmed on a recent Instagram live stream that fans should not anticipate hearing any of her previous hits at the intimate shows, stating, "Syzygy's not done, we're gonna be back before you know it. [This is] an intermission of sorts. So we'll save those songs for the Syzygy shows."
